Not really, I was told 'around' what to expect out of the sidewinder when I took that training and my limit would really be the 2L O2 bottle, not the scrubber anyway (assuming new sorb/full bottle). I don't dive a revo and I do not want to turn this thread into a CCR bashing session, if that's where it's going, I'm out. If there is no 'rule' on scrubber consumables or any way to plan for it then fine, I'll just keep building up experience.
Funny, I would think judging your remaining scrubber on o2 consumption would be one of the best ways to monitor. For me, I feel they match quite well.

"Around" based on exactly what? An instructor's 5000 impossible hour experience?

That unit (and some other's) has zero objective WOB or duration testing. You can divide some made up duration by 3, but it's not anymore or less valid than someone diving their RMS 1/2 in 1/2 out.

You'd think, but those of us diving massively sawtoothy profiles definitely can't do this. I know my consumption rate (0.75 lpm) and run time, everything else is vented, roughly 1/2 of it

If any DiveTalkGo team member is reading this post... Please add "proper BO reg storage" to the curriculum of your fine learning institution. Some pics in the Gallery are just too cringy to be used for marketing material. Btw, happens to the best of us once in a while, but I would not use the pic for advertisement.

Is it the necklaced regs?

I believe the reference was to the primary second stage.

(1) dangling on one diver - not suggesting that it did in this case. But potentially could be a cause of reef damage by new or inexperience divers.

(2) on the other diver see or locate on second diver. The second stage hoses appear to be tangled and can't easily see where it if it's clipped or not. Might be hard to find or reach if diving with a mixed team of CCR & OC diver.

Is it the necklaced regs?

It looks like Woody's necklaced reg hose is on the wrong side of the loop. If you bailout and take the loop out of your mouth, it's going to push the necklace reg hose down. You'd need to pop the reg out of the bungee, or take the bungee off of your neck to get it in your mouth (you could probably get it in your mouth as-is but the loop would be in the way / not stowable).
