Outstanding!

There is something about buying new dive gear..... kind of a "kid at Christmas" sort of feeling :D

Have fun with your new gear!

Thanks I agree 100%. Its always fun to get a new toy. I cant wait to try it out and get the gear wet. I cant wait to try out a different regulator as well.

I sell about every brand on the market.

I have incredible specials in store (can't go below Diverite's MSRP) on the Hurricane which is one of the best cold water regs on the market, but I also sell every other brand of regulator.

If you want a great reg set, PM me and we'll get you a good system. Scubamax is a knock-off reg made in Italy 1st stage with a cheap 2nd stage like most other companies have.

I have Mares regs at next to nothing too and they're a huge improvement.

I bought a Dive Rite RG3000 Ice from PhilEllis @ divesports.com. My product arrived very fast and I got a great deal. Phil was great to deal with and very friendly. I would have no problem buying again from in the future in fact I look forward to it.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for posting your concerns and I certainly understand your worries. At Dive Rite we pride ourselves in delivering outstanding customer service and that includes are service/warranty repair work. We are still servicing wings and lights that were made 5-7 years ago. From time to time, technology changes so rapidly (in lights for example) that our timeframe is shorter, however regulator technology is not that cutting edge and we will continue to service the Hurricane long into the future.

For now, we are simply temporarily out of stock.

The 3000 Regulator, however, is our tried and true reg that we've had for years with modern day enhancements. It's been around for a long time and we aim to keep it that way.

Both regs are equally excellent choices.

I hope this is helpful,
Kathleen

I have a couple of the Dive Rite Hurricane regulators (RG3500, the next step up and environmentally sealed) and I now have a major concern. Dive Gear Exrpress (a huge Dive Rite online seller) no longer offers the Hurricane. I talked to them when I tried to buy a second setup and they thought it would be several months (to forever) before they could get more. Dive Rite lists them as temporarily unavailable.

This is not the kind of longevity I want to see. I now have 2 orphan regulators for which parts are available today but who knows about next year. If they can't get the regulators, why bother with parts?

Now, the Hurricane is NOT the RG3000. I understand that. But still, it would be nice if the regulator was still on the market beyond current inventories.

Dive Rite regulators (all of them) worry me. So, for the next cold water reg, I bought the Oceanic FDX10/Delta 4. I figured that if the US Navy, Coast Guard and NOAA have chosen it as their cold water regulator, it's good enough for me!

I haven't used the Hurricane. I bought one for my son-in-law and I bought a second as a backup. Still, I'm worried...

Richard
