I like a swivel turret better. Without it, the hose ends up with a 90 degree bend in it, either when the reg is stowed or when it's deployed. With the swivel, no bend.

It's minor. My non-swiveling deco reg works fine. I just LIKE it better with a swivel because the hose routing is simply "neater".

That piece (peace lol) of mind is one less thing to be conscious of. . . And worth it

Also, @stuartv didn't we need to swap a deco reg onto a back gas reg location on the boat?? Makes a good case for a functional deco reg able to be used anywhere..

Yes. One of the regs on Steve's doubles was leaking when he turned on his gas just before splashing. He didn't have a spare. We swapped one of my deco regs (a DR XT1/2) for the reg on his doubles. We were only diving with one deco gas that day, so, lucky for him, I had a good extra deco reg to loan.

A good case for having higher end regs for deco? Or a good case for diving with buddies that bring spares to cover you? LOL :D
