No one gets smarter underwater. Having a backup brain is a good move.

Soon, A.I. will be able to take the place as your spare brain. Of course, your dive computer will be the size of carry on luggage, but I for one welcome our new A.I. overlords.

Diver A has air. Diver B has EAN32. Both have 50% for deco.

The dive is 100 ft for 30 minutes. Let's say using air would require 16 minutes of deco and EAN32 requires 8 minutes.

The EAN32 diver agrees to put their computer in air mode or use air tables. Both divers follow the same deco schedule and do 16 minutes of deco.

If a gas share is required, they still assume the back gas is air.

Any downsides?

I dont see any problem. I assume both are diving doubles. As there is not enough gas for 30mins 100ft.

Secondly for a 30min nx32 dive. You dont need nx50 for deco. Just do 15m, 12m, 9m, 6m clears up everything with a min stop each. Ending in a surf gf of 85%.

As for the guy breathing air…. He does deco with the 50% and probably deco faster.

Failures…. Theres enough back gas. Theres enough deco gas.

If you’re properly trained in AN/DP, Gue fundy, Gue tech1

This isnt an issue.

Has anybody wondered why so many people have left scubaboard?
Well you know what 'they' say, "if you cant stand the heat, stay outta the kitchen", although I assume there are more fundemental (no pun intended) reasons than that.

Besides, always diving in the one spot can get, well, boring, and you cant get wet here anyway.

I just cant resist (after reading a little more of this thread). Some of the blanket statements sprouted in this thread are simply, well, blanket statments. And what a crock some are.
