Service Club Park
Training dive w/ students

Sunny
Air temp: 78
Wind: SE 10
Surf: .5 ft
Tide: Incoming
Water Temp: Surface 65, Bttm 63
Vizibility: 2 ft inside the coquina reef, 4 ft outside.......lots of silt
No drift algae

Based on the forecast, vizibility and temp should improve considerably over the next week. Next weekend should be VERY nice!
 
we'll today was a great start of the season

Seas less then 2ft out of the SE on lake mexico
Vis was 2-4 FEET
Water temp was 62 top to Bottom but seemed to warm up as the day went on
Lots of boats out for start of grouper season
still alot silt covering bottom

most everyone got a Megalodon today :D
Big hit on the boat was the water heater:cool2:
posted a pic of one of the 4 inch meg's

Here are some found Easter morning by our customer Chuck. Nice teeth! Vis was less than 3 feet and temp at 63 degrees. A perfect five incher was found yesterday aboard the Hammerhead boat on the morning charter and a 4 1/2 on the pm trip.

Water temp 59-60 on bottom, surface read 64
still some silt covering Bottom but by
the reports it should be a fun year for all..
Tryed a different spot area today and one
diver found a perfect 5 inch meg, almost everyone
found what they were looking for:D

went out yesterday (Easter). High tide was at 3:13 PM.

Location: Time: Temp: Viz: Depth: Sea state:
M-15 3:40PM. Top: 67--57 10'-15' 40' .5'-1' NW
Venice boneyard 5:15PM. Top: 67--60 3'-5' 20'-25' 1.5'-2.5' NNW

Did one dive on each saw some jellies.... shot one 19" Mango on the M-15 and saw one hog but was to small... Found one full 3" meg and some partials..
 
YES !!!!

Vis seemed to be better today 5-7 feet
Water temp on surface was like 69'
Bottom temp was 59-60'
silt seemed to be going away:D
tide seemed to be be high around 11am
Found a nice 4 inch Meg and My first Mammoth tooth of
course some tumbled megs and lots of sharks teeth
Was a Beautiful day on the water seas were 2 feet or less
winds out of the East turning to SE by afternoon

yesterday was great had 15' of viz in 20' fsw.... found lots!!!! 3.5" & 2.5" intact meg 5.5" whale tooth tons of partials and smallies..... on my second dive saw a 6'-8' Goliath Grouper!!! silt is not as bad as it was earlier over the weekend... oh and the water temp at depth was 62... better than the 59 it was on Sun....
 
Vis today was 6-8 feet on bottom, But from top looking down could see almost 20 feet down really starting to clear up

winds picked up around 11am to 12-14 knts out of the south
Front coming thru Thurs afternoon from what I see.
water temp 62' on bottom and surface was 67'
not much silt at all lately
Sharks tooth festival this weekend have fun

Cold front kind have messed things up. Hope the next week is better.
