I use a cannister light made by Ralph Hood that I plan on upgrading to HID (I"ll probably send it to Sartek). I use a Nite Rider for back-up usually.

UP,

What LED Light do you use?

Thanks

I use the Blackwater 3000 by NiteRider.

I have found it to be a very capable light. Very bright, easy to deploy and use, and the charge lasts a very long time (thanks in part to the ability to switch between wattage settings).

For me, this has been a good step as I move from the "C" & "D" cell lights toward cannister lights.

Tek sumpthin...
Paid fifty or so dollars for it from LeisurePro....
It is really bright and hurts when you shine it in your eyes...
But the beam is so diffuse then it really doesn't do that good a job UW...
And the plastic housing and lense is also suspect....
I was thinking about just getting another Scout but this works ok...

I still use the old 30 watt UK800R's, (two of them), and a UK1200 for backup. The UK's are tough, time-proven, and their cutomer relations are topnotch!

I use an Ikelite Mini-C that I bought somewhere around 10 years ago. It's small, it's more than bright enough, and it was inexpensive. It stays off most of the time when I do night dives because there is usually more people with lights flashing around than needed. I save more batteries that way.:D

I have a UK C8, because I could afford it... I'd love to get an HID, but for the time being, I'll just have to dive with people who have them... I only take it if I really need it, cause it's just annoying to carry. I always carry a scout and a UK Q40 though.
