Liking this thread. Just ordered one of the lights - looks like it would make a good candidate for a canister light head.

So, I ordered the light on Tuesday May 5th got it on Friday May 8th. The light is impressive for $26 bucks! You will want to use the 26650 battery. Although the 18650 battery will work, it does not fit very well. The light is very bright but, I don't think its 5000 lumens. You can see the difference in size of the 2 batteries. Planning to dive with it this weekend.

You welcome... Happy that I started this post I guess! Maybe you should all pitch in and send me a box of donuts? LOL :D

I've been diving with my lights and so far so good!

Also picked one of these up. Will check in with my thoughts after a few dives.

I got my light in today. The body is too small to accommodate the 26650's I'd ordered. I'll try and find some 18650.

Are the batteries too wide or too long? I bought two of those lights and the 26650s I bought from the same eBayer fit fine. I've read some cheapo "protected" 26650s are made by attaching the PCB to the end of existing 26650 and re-wrapping the entire thing - leaving them several millimeters longer than the 65mm suggested by the name 26-65-0 (26mm x 65mm).

They're two wide. I've got some lights around here with a couple 18650's inside... I can't seem to remember where the heck they are though so I haven't tried the 18650's with this new light yet. Also, my light looks quite different from the others pictured here. I guess that's the risk you take with ebay. It still might be a fine light, though.

I'll post some pics later.

Never could find my 18650's or other Chinese dive lights. I tore open an old laptop battery pack and got some batteries on charge now.

Go to RadioShack and buy 26650 that will fit fine though 18650 are too small for it and will not work
