Then we will show one common algorithm (ZH-L16C) in action and will compare it to dive tables.

We will then go for a dive and describe those indicators that could be found on almost every dive computer. And finally we will discuss how to dive safely with dive computers and how to properly take care of them.

....... After I had passed all the tests I decided to buy this completion certificate and I was so surprised to have received it with the following note: quote "You have not yet completed this speciality course! To complete your training you must perform the Open Water Dive portion of this course with a qualified instructor." unquote. In other words the completion certificate says that your course is incomplete! .....
Hi,
on EVERY SINGLE PAGE of the VT3 online class, there are logos from major certification agencies (such as PADI and SSI) with links titled ".....Specialty".
IF you click on any of those links, the class will send you to a page on our forum explaining what is it.
As an example, the PADI Distinctive Specialty post explains that our VT3 online class is part of a PADI Distinctive Specialty, in fact the post says that "This course contains knowledge development and 1 open water training dive. The knowledge development session of this specialty is composed by the Oceanic VT3 Online Class.", then it continues "The student must complete the knowledge development and obtain a certification of completion from DiveComputerTraining.com before the open water training dive."

Then, in the same post there is an actual image of the certificate ...
certificate_oc_vt3_padi_forum.jpg
.... that includes the writing "You have not yet completed this speciality course! To complete your training you must perform the Open Water Dive portion of this course with a qualified instructor."
(Translated in English this means that in order to complete the PADI Distinctive Specialty for the Oceanic VT3 dive computer you must complete the VT3 online Class AND 1 Open Water Dive with a qualified instructor :shocked2:)

And finally it says: At the end of this course, student will receive the Oceanic VT3 Computer Diver certification from PADI.

One more thing ... for the inquisitive minds :depressed: .... the post in question even contains a link to the actual PADI Instructor Outline - APPROVED BY PADI AND OCEANIC.

So, to summarize:
1) The VT3 online class (that you received for free from Oceanic - a $8.99 value) could be taken independently OR could be taken as part of a Specialty Course of major certification agencies.
2) IF you decide to go the Specialty route, then you must: a) find a dive store/Instructor that offers such a Distinctive Specialty, b) complete the online class, c) get a certificate of completion of the online class, d) do 1 Open Water dive with a qualified Instructor (and pay for it), e) obtain from the certification agency their Specialty Card (and pay for it)
3) All of the above info is available on our website with CLEAR links from the online class .... info that you COULD have read BEFORE purchasing the Certificate of Completion of the online class.
4) The Specialties for this online class have been APPROVED by the related certification agencies and Oceanic.

So .... what is your problem? Too busy to read?
