Hey,
Desperate marine science major here, looking for a diving buddy just to do some stuff around Hilo. It also might be cool to get together, get a few dives in over at Richardson and such easily accessed places and then go for a big weekend adventure over to Kona and do some stuff over there! I won all my own stuff, minus tanks which are more easily rented, am DIR kit'd and have 20 cold water dives from Washington in. PM me or reply to this thread, I'll be checking constantly! Fair warning: I have no vehicle of my own....so someone to leech off of would be awesome?

I've got any wednesday and weekends totally open. I can also go diving after school which I'm done with at 12-ish. Doesn't have to be an amazing dive of my lifetime or anything like that. Just want to stay wet!

I would positively love to join you... just send me a ticket :)

Do you mind flying in a FedEx box? I have a closet you could live in maybe. Hey!This could be the prototype run of the travel size dive buddy! Coming soon to a dive shop near you!

I'm still in Hilo under the 31st, so I've got a few more days of nothing if anyone is headed to Kona side or just messing around at Leleiwi. Be back August 20th for the rest of the year, kinda looking for a regular buddy.

Aloha, my son is going to be in Hilo for the fall semester. If you're looking for a buddy you might try him. He's always willing to dive if the weather's right and he has the time. He's on scubaboard as Silver_Diver. He's not going to have any real transportation though; maybe only enough for his own gear and a tank. Well, good luck!

I'll have a car in fall, so I can give him a lift down to Leleiwi. How long has he been diving? I've only been diving the past year, and I wouldn't feel comfortable taking anyone as a dive buddy who has less experience than I do.

David is a divemaster and a very safe diver. You can trust his judgement and experience. He is also in the marine science program at Hilo. He is here on Maui with me for the next few weeks until school begins.
