Honestly, you've got to make at least one dive, unless you're a total... um... Dawg. :D

Seriously, seriously, however, the first dive isn't half bad. Sure, it's rather chilly in the water, but it's really not as bad as it would seem. If you're too cold to make a second dive, nobody will force you into it ("Anyone can call any dive at any time for any reason." and all that), but being able to say you dove in February (before Valentine's Day, even) when the forecast *high* was 45 degrees... You can't beat that for the story value (especially to non-divers). :D

My husband is already giving me a hard time about my wishy washyness. Not a normal trait of mine. No worries, I'll have my gear with....along with blankets, coffee, hot cocoa hummmm what else can I bring. Someone is bringing a heater correct?

Nothing would be more warming than your husband topside to warm you up :)

Frank, now look what you did...You are about to scare Debi out of the water...

(he thinks he's a diva)(he doesn't realize that the term is gender specific):D

Big words for one who dives DRY

Dunno about that. The cold water is more scarey than Frank ever could be. Least that's the impression so far.

The 1st dive isn't that bad. In Dec '05 I did 2 dives at ABWA. The high was 42 overcast and a stiff breeze. Before the 1st dive I was nice and warm in my wetsuit(s). I was fine during the 1st dive (a little cool was all). It was during the SI that I froze my *****. I did the 2nd dive to warm up. Before I started the 2nd dive I poured hot water (no I didn't pee) into my suit...ahhhhh. During the 2nd dive I was sort of uncomfortable, but I survived. I call it "building lore" or fokelore to past down. So try one dive...you might like it

THANK YOU!!!!!! He's not going to be the one freezing because he's nice and toasty in his dry suit. Battling off hypothermia and then whatever decides to follow. Denise, I'm telling you.....when everyone is there, just point em out and I'll do me best to make the captian proud. ARGHHH:pirate2:

See now how am I supposed to back out gracefully when there's such love going on here. :grouphug2: Such support???
