It's my understanding that they'll be offering Discover Scuba at the Scuba Show. Anyone have info on this? My girlfriend and my friend's wife (two different people) are interested in participating. Is there a fee? Do they need to bring a towel, etc? Any info would be great. Thanks.

last year the didn't even allow you to buy gear at the show (liability issues), so i would doubt it. I may be wrong though.

Didn't see a pool there so apparently not this year.

Well, it's too late since it is over but I didn't see a pool either. Sure glad you clarified the fact that your girlfriend and your friend's wife were two separate people, on_two_wheels!

Sport Chalet was offering Discover Scuba Dives as a prize if you signed up for their mailing list.

Maybe that was where the story started.

i have seen discover scubas in the past at shows and am surprised they did not have one here.

call sport chalet or your LDS and see if they would do a free one for you, they would be dumb not to

Sport Chalet is plamdale is doing them every weekend i think on sat because they use the pool on sundays for class not sure if the others are doing it al so or not.

I know better...the folks on here would have been all over it!! On the original topic, I later heard the pool was shallow at previous events. Since my friend's wife thinks she'll have problems with the ears, a 6 ft deep pool wouldn't do any good anyway. Hope everyone enjoyed the show, anyway. I know I did.

Had a great time at the show! Ran into a lot of friends and got to meet NetDoc for the first time!
