You can order the Fundamentals book in hardcover and the PDF's for Cave 1 and Tech 1 from the GUE website. Is that commercial enough?

There are two books I consider "must have" for the budding DIR diver ...

Doing it Right: The Fundamentals of Better Diving" by Jarrod Jablonski
Dress for Success: The Essentials of Diving Part 1: Equipment" by Dan McKay

If it is your interest to learn about DIR to determine what the system promotes, why, and how, these two books are a great way to get started.

Note: They are not a panacea to all things DIR ... and I have some issues with them both, particularly the way "Fundamentals" seems at times to be more about marketing than diving ... but they are nonetheless useful for understanding the basics.

What ever you do, don't buy the DVD, it's not very well made.

one question why does it cost so much???

$25 is a little bit steep but not so bad for a book.

Yeah, look for it only on the GUE website- on Amazon they start at what, $198.00? WHo out there is buying it for $24 from GUE and then selling it on Amazon as used for a 800% markup?
