We shouldn't have to.......the simple question was asked days ago....and we got zero DIR feedback worth mentioning.

So he doesn't want to get into a Flamer :-)?

OK fine.

So answer the SAME question by BigJetDriver69, cause there's no way he flamed anyone!

Ditto on the silence.

If you're gonna say XXXX, then be prepared to make an argument in support of it, and not simple, dare I say lame, one-off answers.

Is that post-able, or are my legitimate questions being sensored some more???

Saying it here, vs another thread is irrelevant. It's the same question.

I figured we were getting down to where the rubber met the road, with some serious dead-nuts analysis, and not just fellow DIR's back-slapping each other for their collective brilliance!

Sorry folks, I thought wrong, and got the mighty SENSORED mark to prove it.

Enjoy.

...are you going to keep whining in this thread or start another one?

Just curious..

More of the same lame answers.......is that what is taught???

What's that someone said???If ya can't stand the heat, don't turn on the stove.

Don't bother answering the question, what would the point be of ruining a perfect record?

Or did I overstep just there too?

I can see why MHK wanted to avoid a flamer such as yourself. Enjoy your computers...maybe you can get the VR3 with spell check next time.

Hey Zero-Ring, I just checked your "profile" quite impressive.

I'll take even your answer (instead of the DIR God's) with respect to the affore mentioned questions on DIR diving

Don't call them my questions, call them BigDiver's. He's asked the same ones, with no flames attatched.

Or did they teach you so well you won't part with your Mantra either?

In all the posts you've posted here, you haven't asked or answered a single question...........so what's the story with your useless posts?

But HEY at least they don't get censored.

Spell cheqer werking fine now..........like that was ever the point!

But nice avoidance.

Wow... And to think that some of the posts were deleted. That went south quick, didn't it?

Deep, I think that my "Three Stooges" reference was what really ticked you off in the first place, starting this little smoke-fest. I wasn't referring to YOUR diving skills, I was referring to mine.

I was comparing the Three Stooges to the way *I* looked in the water at my DIR-F class... I wasn't implying that you dove that way.

Anyway, what was your question for MHK? I missed it.

No it wasn't you SeaJay, but was

SIMPLY

The computer question (Never mind the other ones, for now)

I only mentioned it at least 3 times, PLUS so did BigDriver69, TODAY!!!!

It's obvious this is a closed book, since they simply do not have a real, viable answer. Trust me, if they did, they would have said it POSTs and posts ago!

They've been called up on the rug.....and tripped and fell.

What a joke.

Nice (lack-of) answers DIR DUDES!

Anyways, a closed book, that is the answer I will take away from my DIR friends.

AS I expected.

This dog's dead, don't bother, I won't be here,...what would be the point.

Censor Deep, but don't answer his question cause "he hurt our soft DIR feelings"

OK......I'm done Uncle Pig and whoever the other yank was.

Oh yeah Doc somebody-or-other. I PROMISE not to post in this thread ANYMORE.

Good enough?

Regards (politely like)

don't throw your pearls before swine, so I understand MHK's reticence to post more so that you can twist it. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, and don't ever want to go back!

As for computers and diving, I know many people who have a phobia of depending on electronics. I deal with it all of the time with my users. As long as they are in control things are great... they pound keys and get results. Once they leave their comfort zone, they prefer not to depend on them.

Is this sane? It doesn't have to be. It's a preference. They choose to not rely on electronics IN the water where electronics have their worst record. One little drop of invasive sea water and poof up goes the magic smoke. And we all know that once an electronic device loses it's magic smoke, it ceases to operate.

IOW, they believe the seal around their brain to be far superior to that found in any watch or computer. I can understand that easily. I am just glad that Microsoft did not design the OS for my Cobra!

There are lot of other reasons... like understanding your dive better, being more in control of your dive, but I get the idea that you just want to "win". It has ceased to be an exchange of ideas and has degenerated into some third rate debate. You are not interested in understanding, but rather in "proving your point" and so the debate has become one sided. Single handedly you have squelched all reasonable dialogue because you just HAVE to be right. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, and don't ever want to go back!

We are, as a group, tired of your drivel. You asked your questions and no one cares to "feed the troll". Deal with it, because that’s life. You get silence only because you earned it.

netdoc....

Your concerns with computers is pretty much the reason I don't dive a computer.

Working everyday with PCs, servers, routers and switches one thing I have learned is YOU CAN'T TRUST WHAT A COMPUTER TELLS YOU.

Computer have two major flaws. First is that the hardware that drives them is incredible sensitive to temp, shock, moisture, and voltage flux. Secondly, programming is not easy. One line of code wrong and your equation doesn't come out right.

I've seen routers and switches do some really crazy things were the fix is to change the equipment. I've been a bug tester for I don't know how many OS's and IOS's.

The last place I want to discovery a software bug or a hardware glitch is at 100'. Give me a bottom timer that does no computations and my brains any day.
