Hey Sea Angel,

DIN tanks are a German acronym and they physically screw into the tank. They are usually used on higher pressure tanks and are the European standard... The O-Ring stays with the regulator. I mostly use these.

Yoke tanks (J or K valve) are the American standard, and use a screw to "clamp" the regulator in place. The O-Ring stays with the tank. These are definitely more popular here in the states, but I like the simplicity of just screwing my regs into the tanks!

There are 200 Bar DIN and 300bar DIN. The 200 Bar have 5 threads and the 300 Bar have 7 threads. You can use a 300 bar DIN Regulator on both a 200 Bar and 300 Bar tank valve. But you can only use a 200 Bar Din Regulator on a 200 Bar Valve. Also. If you get the Din to Yoke adapter you can use either one on a Yoke valved tank. Also on 200 bar valve they have an insert that fits into the valve that makes it so you can use a Yoke Reg on it.
