I recently looked at four or five different Mares MR22 DIN adapters in a couple shops and found all to have the innermost and outermost threads with a jagged or rough edge. These are the threads which insert into the tank valve.

A call to Mares service center resulted in a technician who was unaware of this issue. He looked at three more adapters fresh from the factory which all exhibited the same characteristics. An email to Mares corporate has not been answered.

I have not heard a reasonable explanation for these rough threads. Hoping someone here can shed some light on the matter.

New and improved Mares "self-tapping" DIN threads???
