Hello readers:

DCS Incidence Rate

For recreational diving, the tables (and meters) are designed such that the dose of nitrogen acquired is well within a same range. For this reason, you will not really see any difference between meters or tables. As far as I am aware, the data collected by DAN bear this out.

Other Factors :06:

Not all divers will operate under the condition for which the tables were calculated, and in some cases tested. Excessive physical activity at depth will increase the dissolved nitrogen loads. Excess physical activity following the dive will promote the formation/growth of microbubbles.

While it might be true that “All men are created equal,” they do not grow up to be so. There are differences between the bubble formation characteristics of individuals. This can be demonstrated in the laboratory, and the reason for this is currently not known.
