I remember having a soft plastic sheet you put over the TV screen and then drew along with Twinky the star? Am I mixing up shows? Does anyone else remember that?
I can't remember the name of the show, either. I do remember that my participation ended when my old man clobbered me for drawing on the TV without using the plastic sheet. :crying:

I love Chilly Willy (the penguin ) I have Chilly Willy pajamas, they're my favorite! LOL

I also remember waiting till my parents were asleep and then hiding under the covers with a flash light to read my comic books which were always stashed under my pillow...I loved Superman, Little Lulu and Richie Rich. Oh, and then there was Superman on TV along with Lois and Jimmy.

I liked Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead too...

Marebythesea:
Oh my goodness Natasha, I can't believe I forgot them...they were under my pillow too!

Man..you must have had a big pillow!

Natasha:
Sometimes, somehow, I forget how old I am. Imagine that!
I was told my new advatar looks mean.
The sweet person who told me that, never heard of the villian Natasha ..
of Natasha and Boris fame.
Have you?

Rocky and Bullwinkle rule. I own the VHS collection.

The first commerical television station was owned and operated by General Electric in Schenectady New York.

When I was a lad we didn't have a family television. Very few in our neighborhood did. My father would take me to the tavern with him. Behind the bar was a big television set with a little 6" screen. There was a specially made magnifing glass that was put in front of the screen so that all of the patrons could see the program.

There was no arguements as to what to watch because there was only one channel that started broadcasting at 4 PM. The first show to come on was Howdy Doody.

Anyone remember the episode of The Flintstones, when Fred and Barney went diving with those LOOONG snorkels, and the seagull kept perching on top of the air holes? Don't you just hate when that happens??
