And not one of them will really make a lick of difference, lol. Pick one and go diving. All will fit your post. Way too much thinking when into the above... time better spent under water!!

If you take Deep 6 class and buy their reg it's free parts for life (every 2 years for each reg you buy). If you're not interested in that then probably Hog would be the next least expensive (that will still breath just fine).

I'm not so interested in the most super high end stuff.... but like durable and reliable.....don't care about bells and whistles either.... Simple works for me. just recreational diving, reasonable or even low budget

And? Learning to properly service a particular regulator has value, does it not? You think shop techs that take courses don't pay as well?

I know many people dismiss training in general, but for many people, this has value. If you can demonstrate some proficiency in regulator servicing, you can probably be granted parts. And let's not forget that the price of Atomic service kits have gone up considerably.

This is 100% true. I sort of lucked out as I had zero experience and wanted to take "A" class. It just worked out to be Deep 6.

After taking any class, or probably watching a few videos I think I would be comfortable. I don't even think I knew parts for life was a thing when I took the class... that was just a bonus.

But I agree.. if you have experience then any really any reg will do.

Atomic Parts Cost

Just heard from my shop that Atomic parts costs have gone up 50% recently. Are you ready for this one? HP seat (Jet Seat) 01-0018-00 retail is now $18!! I think 1st stage kits will be over $40. Maybe that's to justify the supposed cost of the seat? Insane. Scubapro Mk25 HP Seat is around $3.50...
