According to the tide gauge at the bridge, the tides seem to be on time with the tide tables. There is not much of a plateau at slack tide, less pushing in seems to be what happens until the water pushes back out. I guess with all the rain upstream the water from the gulf is having a hard time clearing out the Pass. Hopefully the bulge of water upstream will ease up and allow some good viz as the tides get back to daytime. I hope that since beach renourishment has stopped for a while that the silt will settle out of the water better this year.
