Destin Pass tides

According to the tide gauge at the bridge, the tides seem to be on time with the tide tables. There is not much of a plateau at slack tide, less pushing in seems to be what happens until the water pushes back out. I guess with all the rain upstream the water from the gulf is having a hard time clearing out the Pass. Hopefully the bulge of water upstream will ease up and allow some good viz as the tides get back to daytime. I hope that since beach renourishment has stopped for a while that the silt will settle out of the water better this year.

Looks good to me, my last trip out, the tides seemed to hit on their predicted time. Your graph just backs that up. Vis was OK under the thermo-slimo-cline.

so let me get this this strait it good to dive when the tide is at its peak and how long of a window do u normally have

Depends on the cycle on that particular day. You can usually get one or two dives in at high slack without the currents getting too rough. Definately bring gloves though, you might have to do a bit of crawling.
