Hi there!

I just had a tooth extracted.
As per the dentist recommendations, I also got 1.5 grams bone graft - Ossix brand in the socket.

Does anyone have an idea of how long I should wait before going scuba diving?
I've received various answers while googling this, so any help is appreciated.

Cheers!

I think DAN website in FAQs has a section on implants and bone grafts. However, from what I remember, there are caveats, and kicks it back to what your Oral Surgeon/Dental Specialist tells you to do. Having had two grafts, it was about 6 months before the surgeon would consider implanting the post for the dental implant.

Couple of threads on here on that topic, sometimes asking about root canals or crowns.

I had this done about ten years ago and the oral surgeon told me 90 days to ensure that the graft took.

Disclaimer, I was the patient, consult a doctor to be safe.
