Hmmm.... sounds like "CHina" don't give a flying F.... With UPS or FedEx only the sender can make changes you, the receiver, can't. So I'm sure it's setup as some sort of safety feature so that it cant be "stolen" per say... ie someone call up with info saying change address to this and that and all of a sudden you don't get your package.

But I do understand your frustration. Had to deal with that on a invalid address caused by one number being wrong on street address once.

The wrong number on an address is a super super pain in the butt.

****UPDATE****

I received a call from the local post office.

Hopes were high that maybe the package was coming to me, but no.

The gentleman on the phone was responding to my attempt to email via the USPS website. Mike was very courteous, trying to explain there was nothing more that could have been done, and that holding it the 24 hours was actually longer than the rules allow. Sadly there is no way to intercept the package according to what he told me, so my items will not be making it to me any time soon.

It's not like that you don't get other mail to your address on your street. not that hard to find that many people that live on the same street as you that might have duplicate names.

postal workers for the most part are just LAZY. always have been.

I'm just glad we've got a good one where I am now.

The trouble with where I am, is the street I live on is about 20 miles long, I think the guy said there are 6 different carriers just for this street alone.

The other problem is the number of people who are here for a week or a month at a time.

ah... didn't know your address had the main highway designation. Figured it was the "side road" in the park you lived on or at least some name in the park.

come to think of it.... you've got a PO Box. (just a lesson for future shipments from China)

Speaking of the PO. A coworker of my wifes sold her old wedding dress on ebay. She gats an email from some 3rd world country in Africa asking about shipping. Keeping in mind it was her first ebay and paypal expirence. She quoted the shipping. 2 days later t=she gets an email looking like it came from paypal saying the item had been paid for. She sent the item on a Saturday.

This all happend back in October.

She talked to my wife the next day and she told her that paypal does not send an email. You have to manually check your account.

This lady freaks out and goes to the PO that day and asks if they can stop the package. They said they would try.

The package showed up at her house 9 weeks later.

I was surprised it showed at all.

I love those kind folks from those African countries...

one of them sent me an email the other day that said I was named on a long lost bank account that had Millions in it!

I'm going to be RICH I tell ya!
