News from just a few minutes ago are spreading among Israel's diving community about a deadly shark attack.

In Israel there is a unique shark diving experience - the Hadera power station ejects warm water to the Mediterranean sea. When the sea water drops too cold sharks gather there to spend the winter in the station hot stream. Two types of shark spend the winter there - Sandbar shark & Dusky shark.
The depth is 4m max and in winter this becomes a favourite dive site for scuba, snorkel, fishing and the general public.
Approx 30-50 sharks in a small location just swimming around. But...

Today sad news and bloody videos appeared as it seems a diver has been eaten by a few sharks violently. Full details are yet to be public.

*Warning*
The video contains lots of blood:

This is the first casualty from these shark recorded in Israel, and the future of the dive site is yet to be determined. But atm it is closed for investigation.

Sad.

Several news stories feature videos of sharks swimming around waders. These two kids seem to be preteens and the shark big enough to cause damage if provoked...

Weird that lots of people over lots of time have used the place and this one time the sharks go wild on a guy.

Supposedly spearfishing, if true sounds insane.

Probably wrong/old.
Latest news is this is just an ordinary dude who wanted to see the sharks and perhaps he used dead fish to lure them, but the fish part is unconfirmed. Also as a river flows to the sea just at this spot it has many dead fish this time anyway, so the sharks were seen picking up these fishes past few weeks too.

Couple hours ago some remains were found but not yet confirmed legally to be him.

Still waiting for updates.

That makes more sense. It seems like bizarre behavior, otherwise. Very unfortunate decision and outcome if that's the case.

I wonder if there is anything else in the water besides warm. I mean, remember those carrots from Gilligan's Island?
