In contrast to the prediction in the article today was actually a lovely day. Hopefully the coming days will also be nice..... We went to barber today, that was fine. But the beaches more western from that were apparently closed today. At daaibooi beach everything was ok.

After consulting with the book and some friends, I'm pretty sure it's a whitenose pipefish!

Happy to report the waters out in westpunt have pretty much cleared up from the storms last week, at least once you get to the reef

AND - cruise ship season is more or less over for the year and I've been loving the Superior lately! Check out how many tarpon were there today!

It's coming up on the time of year when coral spawning happens! Has anyone seen it? (attached pics are from 2 years ago)

This phenomenon of coordinated mass spawning happens in conjuntion with the full moon during months when the water is at the ideal temperature. Some corals are more preditcable than others, and here in Curacao, CARMABI releases an annual calendar predicting when each species should spawn. I'll share the link when I see it!
