We are diving in Curaçao March and April, and always like to do a bit of lionfish hunting. Any suggestions for good areas to find them? Thanks!Ocean Triggerfish aren't rare, but they're not common either - so it's always fun to see something out of our ordinary. Earlier this week at Playa Piskado, we saw 6 or 7 of them! And one we found hiding under the coral...but he wouldn't tell us why
I've been seeing more and more unusual things lately - lobsters and octopus during the day for one. And while I haven't been lucky enough to see the sharks close to shore yet, I think we can all agree that is way outside the ordinary for Curacao!
Has anyone else seen anything strange lately??
This may be the norm in Curacao, but for most westerners this is pretty strange! It really varies - mostly based on where others have recently done a hunt! Most reliable sightings are a bit deeper and at night. And if you take yourselves to the more off the beaten path sites - not the popular beaches - you're more likely they aren't dived/hunted as often. We are diving in Curaçao March and April, and always like to do a bit of lionfish hunting.
