I was on Curacao (my 4th trip) for the month of January. I'd give a big recommendation to "DiveCharter Curacao" if you want to do a boat dive. He runs a RIB and will travel to the undived SouthEast corner of the island. An "interesting" dude (Willy Maal) owns most of the Southern part of the island and isn't very hospitable to strangers on his land (apparently he meets them with a shotgun)

So the reefs of that part of the island see very little diver traffic and are in superb shape. Since DiveCharter Curacao uses a RIB on a trailer, he will haul his rig West and also dives Watamula

DiveCharter looks like a strong possibility for East Point. I think Go West can get us to Watamula cheaper and quicker though.

Speaking of East Point / West Point. Anyone here split their trip into two locations? I'm talking about splitting a week not a week in each location. We were thinking staying 4/5 nights in westpunt then 2/3 nights near Willemstad to hit a few southern sites and tour the town.

I stayed in the Piscadera area last year and dove both the east and west ends of the island. The drive from Piscadera to WestPunt is ~50 minutes and maybe ~30 min to the East point of the island. You can easily dive both ends of the island without having to move mid week.

We did this Jan '18. 5 nights Allwest in Westpunt and 2 nights Lions Dive east of the city. We got lots of dives in at Allwest and while I had planned on diving at least a day with Oceanencounters at Lions Dive we ended up meeting some friends in Willimstad who live on the island and had a nice tour and lunch and never did a dive. We enjoyed our time at LD even without the diving. Would consider a split week again.

It's certainly reachable but seems would be more efficient to stay in two places and concentrate activities around each place. If we had to pick one it would be in Westpunt because that's where we expect to do most of our diving. But departure day and most/all of the day before will be non-diving and thinking that might be good days to be in Willemstad.

On our Wed-Wed trip, we dove a ton Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun. Monday morning dives before check out at Allwest, then dives at Cas Abou on the way to Willemstad. We arrived Monday afternoon at LD, checked in, went for a swim and hung out on the beach until sunset with dinner on the beach. Tue was the tour and day in Willemsted. Didn't feel that I missed much diving.

Daughter having some fun. I am on the camera. It is fun diving a Double Hose (me) as the exhaust doesn't scare them as much too...

Tank strap!

I had a nice bait ball dive on Jan Theil (sp) with a a bunch of barracuda also watching them, I may have video.
