You won't see the jacks above the surface at low tide. The highest they get is about 10 ft below. Would imagine any taller and it becomes a navigational hazard. Make sure you have a flag and watch for boats that like to anchor nearby and disregard the flag..

this is how i find the jacks

i start from the pier. but it does not matter the key is finding the 2 exposed jacks on the beach

here a close up of the jacks on the beach, you can see that the dark line in the water is where the jacks start. depending on the current start a little north or south of that line.

Great Illustrations. I saw those objects on the beach when I first googled the site but not until it was pointed
out that there were jacks on the beach did I realize that these were those objects. The walk through from inside
John Loyd Park comes in a bit north of the jacks of equal or maybe a slightly lesser distance. Seems a combination
of some walking than an angle out to the jacks would work pretty good.
