Well, everyday cant be Shangri-La.
Trust me, Im not complaining. The weather was perfect blue skies with big puffy cumulous on the horizon there were still whales and dolphins and seals. Big flocks of birds frenzied on baitfish close to shore. But it was not like yesterday.
The surf was back at Monastery. Not much, manageable, but definitely back. I watched the sets carefully before entering and exiting.
The vis was back down, about 5 to 15 above 50, and opening up to 20 to 25 deeper. I did two recreational dives and brought my camera. On the second dive, a harbor seal played with me for about half the dive, rubbing against my outstretch fist, and tugging once on my fins. I swam through a tremendous school of big blue bass.
I ate sandwiches with Priscilla on the beach and read between dives, and even dozed a little. Today was just one of those lazy, relaxed, nothing dramatic dive days.
Perfect.
But tomorrows dive... Tomorrow's dive is going to be a new first for me.
(As you can see, Im not a good photog, but here are some shots from today.)
