oh Peter...the energy was sent to the wrong camera! So sorry. No insurance?

one tablespoon, could you hold the camera at an angle, or when did you see that?

I say, make her buy you another one. You need to bargain harder.

I'm assuming as a photographer you're not getting worse.
Actually, I think I am. It could be my vision too.

I might get the lenses checked. I know the ccd is dirty, very dirty. I just did the sky shot.. The 12-24 shots are most shots. I don't shoot much macro. I have a milky appearance, almost like lost contrast in my images.

I don't think I have sharpness settings do I?

thanks, I don't deserve it.

but what the hay, you only live once.

I'm not familiar with that Nikon, but you can adjust the in-camera sharpening on many cameras. Check for a custom function. But I don't use any in-camera sharpening as I'd rather sharpen images in PS for more control.

I know what you mean about vision - I'm due for a check up myself as I think mine is getting worse. It's weird because I use AF 95% of the time yet I'm struggling with focus more.

If you have a filter attached to the lens check that as well. Maybe it's just a ton of thumb prints or some scratching. Otherwise it's time to get the camera cleaned and checked.

As for getting worse, don't sweat it. Could just be a plateau. I go through this a lot as I shoot 1,000 + images five days a week. It's like a roller coaster. I have highs and lows. Some days it seems like I can't make a good picture to save my life. Just keep shooting and don't worry about it.

Good luck with the new camera.

I broke down and hit the button yesterday. Norm at Adorama pushed me into it.

Now, I just have to embezzle enough household money for the housing.

I justified it all by rationalizing that I can give JB my D-100 and we can shoot pictures together.

"So....someday if I were to get a 200, should I sell my other set up or just give it to you?" (..that was a trap)

My housing just refused to flood.

Hey...I have three ports and four lenses so it would be a waste of money
NOT to have two cameras, wouldn't it?

Plus, he is naturally better than me, so I can claim his shots since I own the camera.

Repeat after me,

Shopping is fun!
Shopping is fun!
Shopping is fun!

Looking forward to seeing your shots with the new rig Catherine :14: :14:

And program mode is evil.......

Repeat after me - "I deserve the very best" :D

Congrats - these are nice cameras - until somehting better comes along of course.

Catherine, go get that Nikon D200.

I bought mine earlier today, and i already love it.

Now i just need a underwater house a flash end the macro lense i want.
Still wondering wether i should go for the 60mm og the 105mmVR ?

I am thrilled beyond belief.

The D-200 came today and guess what?

It FITS in my old housing!!! well, good enough. The hotfoot and the shutter, which is all I use anyway. Hopefully I can get past that and get the right housing. But at least I can take it down NOW.:D :D :D :D I am very happy. I love instant gratification the best of all.

Thanks for the tips Andy... and all the encouragement from you fellow sinners.

Danish, I saw a great inexpensive WA the other day, BTW. Who was it, Warren? Somebody with a great website...an angel fish, blue background. Somebody that dissed the 12-24mm...

Watch me flood the new camera, mark my words.
