Hey Gang,
I have nothing bad to say about the Cypress Seas. My friend, who was there diving with them that day, said the crew on the boat did an outstanding job in doing their jobs. She felt a lot safer seeing all these rescues and knowing they were also watching her, just in case. I agree, no fingers to be pointed and it is a hell of a job to keep track of divers who can talk one way and dive another. Especially in poor viz. North Coast diving is tricky and should not be done by just anyone. That's why they say, "If you learn to dive here, you can dive anywhere". Sorry if I painted anyone out to be the bad guy in this situation. I think it's always good to learn from these situations so it won't be ME having to be rescued or having to rescue someone else.
I too am curious...what happened to the diver who had to surface from 80 ft? Hope she is OK.

Oops. Sorry Susie. Didn't mean to imply you did anything wrong. I'd love to hear more about what happened. I've just seen such discussions go awry so many times in other places, well, just hoping it doesn't happen here is all.

Carry on :)

Don't worry, jumstead65. It won't happen on this thread. Too many of us are devout Cypress Sea patrons. They are truly great. Take it from someone who once needed a little more than the usual assistance.
