I'm a Fish!
Hi all, we are considering on retiring from Australia to Panama next year and wondering if it is worth taking our Faber 100 cu ft cylinders with us or purchasing new ones when we get there.
Are steel cylinders in common use there or are Allies' the go ?.
Also our cylinder valves are all K/DIN convertible as we use DIN regulators, are these available if we purchase new cylinders ?.
We have our own compressor which we will ship there so filling will not be an issue.
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards.
Den.

A while back there was a dive owner in Panama on the board whom IIRC he spoke mostly about aluminum cylinders. In my travels through out Central America I have rarely seen steel cylinders. Further, many operations get their cylinders shipped from the USA as they are TC/DOT stamped. Even ones that are part of the Commonwealth. As such, if you like your 100s I would ship them along especially given you will be shipping a compressor.
