Just got back. Water was on the chillier side but I felt fine with some extra layers. I wore a Lavacore vest under my 2.5mil suit and a 2.5mil zippered vest over my suit and sometimes unzipped it. The diving with Aldora was spectacular and I think the colder water must have brought out the big stuff. I saw 3 spotted eagle rays at Paso de Cedral on my first day and we saw a huge hammerhead shark on Sunday at Punta Tunich. Viz was not like summer but very good. We couldn't hit many of the southern sites but it seems like thinks really calmed down when I left.

I just became aware of this website that provides current info on Cozumel surface water temperature - www.seatemperature.info/cozumel-water-temperature.html

You can use the same site to search for current water temperatures in any other locations. For example, as of today, surface water temps in the ocean at Moorea, French Polynesia are 84 F., and it is 86 F. at Bali, Indonesia.
