Well, one thing that's always amazing is that the video camera sees through the junk better than human eyes do. We were actually talking about that before the dive. If you can make out HID lights at ten feet, does that count?

That's the beauty of the TRV900... Thought it's not the new "technology" by any means, but it's three 1/4" CCD's at 380K Pixels (each) are the best I've seen (in my price range) for making one think "Uh, is that the same dive I was just on???!" when looking at the footage. Often times I can hardly wait to get home and start playing with it.... "Honest, officer, this IS a diving emergency! I must get home and view my footage" :D

OK, Cove 2 last night...no. Dark and chunky water for the most part. Of course I splashed at 7:30 which might explain some of it. It was odd that in places it would clear pretty nicely below 60fsw.

Was still fun playing "Name That Shape"

I didn't think it was that bad. The shallows were pretty murky, but down at the pilings it was fine, although dark. It was dark well before the sun went away, that's for sure.

Well, I'm expecting 100-foot vis on my next dive ... :D

... Bob (Gratefully Anticipating Bonaire)

Oh, rub it in . . . We won't get THAT in Indonesia :)

Anybody dive today? We took the Edmonds ferry to Kingston to go to a wedding, and we were hanging over the rail and astonished at the incredible visibility -- You could see clear details on the bottom when the depth had to have been about 20 feet, even in today's low tide. It looked like the tropics. We decided we have to go diving tomorrow!

Good to hear. A group from our local shop went over to dive at the Mukilteo docks (Past the T docks), and when they found the parking lot closed, called me back here in Spokane for an alternate location suggestion. I suggested Edmonds Oil Dock. If they made the dive there, and the vis was as good as you say, that site is so beautiful that I'll be the shop hero! :D

Lynne,

Where are yall diving tomorrow? Kirsten and I had talked about doing a quick dive, but it's still up in the air...

Have fun Bob!!

I was at Mukilteo Yesterday and the visibility was pretty good. Not quite sure how far but it must have been 20/30 feet at around 35-40fsw. Got lots of crab down by the oil dock and had a good swim back to the new T-dock. Saw a small group of squid! That was cool. They were hanging around a large cluster of eggs in about 25fsw. They looked amazing in the sunlight.
