I'm considering buying myself a new Cressi Ellipse Piston reg (see Cressi here)

I'm diving colder water than usual now that I'm in SoCal. Does anybody have personal experience with the reg who can offer some realistic criticism about it?

1. How does it perform in cold water?
2. How easy is it in general to get service and support on Cressi equipment in the US?
3. Is it worth considering or should I rather fork out the extra few $ for something else?

I've pretty much satisfied my concerns about the reg and have noticed one or two posts here on SB with what seems to be pretty good feedback about the product. I just want to put my mind at ease for good before I hit the debit card with it :D :coffee:
