I keep waiting for Dandy Don or someone to suggest a night and place that all of us on the island that week can get together for drinks and/or dinner (that's a hint Don!). So far no one has stepped up! :depressed:
I think at least one evening we need to all be at Wet Wendies!... I mean, what's a trip to Coz without at least one of their big ole margaritas!
Haha, why don't you sponsor it. The first time I did that - after I got it going, someone suggested that so&so take care of it, so - ok, I just showed up to join in for the eating, except the time was changed to an hour later with me being the only one not informed so I finally ate alone. The rest started showing up as I was paying out so I stuck around for a while. Next time I got a friend to do it, but so&so took over and I am wondering why don't we just let them start the threads - but it didn't work that way over the years. Third time I invited everyone for an eat-meet but hurricane Dean preempted that with us all looking for fast escapes. I'm stressed out enough now getting my replacements and repairs accomplished after last months dress rehearsal dives in time to pack...
* Got my new 1 mil jumpsuit in ok;
* Sent my refurbished dive computer back after leak discovered - need to call and check on that again today;
* Got my pony viz, picking it up today;
* HP disallowed warranty repairs to my 17" laptop so I will deal with the backup warranty when I get back. I guess it works okay enough for the trip, my bud is carrying my old 15" non-Wifi so we can both edit pics simultaneously, or maybe I'll apply my trip cost savings to a new one on today's Lubbock run - 500 minutes to decide on that...?
Eh, it's all part of the dive adventure traveling. If I didn't have something to whine about I'd have to break something.
Ok I'm getting up at midnight Saturday morning (why does that still sound odd?) to pick up my buddy - nagging him for not being ready when I had to be ready 30 minutes earlier to get there on time, get to an airport I haven't seen in 20+ years and all, so it's going to take me a couple of afternoon siestas to get over the getting there adventure. I hope your approach & arrival is some easier. I want to plan a couple of dive nights, and the last two nights are dedicated to the mainland run and getting ready for the run home respectively - damn it's amazing how a leisurely week in Coz starts to sound like a soccer mom's life; nah, my daughter reminds me how much more demanding hers is. :snicker:
How does Sunday evening at Sonora Grill, Tuesday evening at Wet Windy's, and other nights at that beach club next to Scuba Mau maybe sound? Thursday night at Chichen Itza if anyone else is around? Discuss alternatives here
today ok, I'll work out the logistics tomorrow and post a new thread with a link here? I always say it's a big island/ocean so I'm easy to avoid and this will make that easier. :sly:
