Bonaire is doing pretty well, now.

They went from 10 positive results in early Sept to 131 in early October, but have not had any additional since 9 October. That is good news.
The daily status is available at their master website: Crisiswebsite van het Openbaar Lichaam Bonaire - Crisiswebsite van het Openbaar Lichaam Bonaire
Today's status looks like this:

Their Positivity Rate (positive tests/total tests) rose rapidly from 1.93% to 3.11% around 19 Sept, and they announced a 10-day 'light lockdown" to start on 21 Sept. Their 3-day average number of new infections rose from about 3 just before the lockdown to over 8 in the middle of the lockdown, to 3 at the end of the lockdown. The lockdown included stopping tourist flights to the island, from everywhere.

The positivity rate is now dropping slowly from a high of 5.95% during the lockdown.

Their open/closing/restrictions plans are based on 6 levels of crisis and the associated risk. At the lowest level, it is a caution/vigilance status. At the highest level, it is basically a total lockdown. As of Oct 21, effective tomorrow Oct 26, they are moving from level 4 (serious) to level 3 (threatening), and are slowly opening up some tourist traffic. They clearly are prepared to shut it off again if the numbers start climbing.

You can get reports on much of this from bonaire.nu and infoboanire.com.
