Hermans hp block tool is perfect. I have one and have used it many times, would hate to try it without one.

Yes, the Conshelf is a very straightforward reg to service, and a great first project. The most difficult thing is getting the high pressure stack in place, which is where Herman's HP block tool comes into play. I pieced together something of my own that works well most of the time, but since I own several conshelfs, SEAs, a DA Aquamaster and a DA phoenix double hose, I really should break down and get the real thing! As others have stated, beware! You'll be cruising auction sites looking for other regs to fix in no time. Parts are readily available through VDH--definitely use this resource!
