Any suggestions on how to remove the front cover of the 2nd Stage Octopus? Very hard and not turning.

Thanks

@sharky0127 , you'll have better luck if you shift forums.
There's a wealth of material if you search in the "Repairing Your Own Gear" subforum of Do It Yourself - DIY, which is a subforum of Diving Gear
Click on Regulators in the top left corner of your screen and that will step you up the ladder to Diving Gear. Then click on Diving Gear in the same corner and you'll see all the subs.

This thread, for example, is the sort of resource you'll find: Question - Aqualung Helix Pro - Front Cover Removal

Forget service kits. Can find your own parts from a variety of sources and not have old crusty orings from an eBay kit.

Rebuild a Conshelf XIV
Hello, I live in Vallejo and need two regulators serviced. I saw a link to your company and recommendations for you to service regulators. The link to your web site does not seem to work. Do you still service regulators? I have a conshelf 21 and a conshelf SE2. I use to take them to Steeles in Berkeley but they are gone. Please let me know if this is still something you do and what the approximate cost would be. Thank you for your time.

This will damage your faceplates, what about your diaphragms

Turn a mousepad upside down and twist on it, that or some rubber mat or a car mat, wear rubber gloves

I use a silicone sheet, kind of similar to a jar top gripper. I wet the bottom and set it on my wife's kitchen counter :yeahbaby: and it sticks down. Then take the regulator and press the purge cover into the dry top side and press down with your body weight and twist. Some second stages may have a retaining pin. This of course only works on a proper second stage with a hard cover (G250, G260, AL SE etc). The soft cover type, well, I avoid those because even if it is a $3,000 Atomic TFX, it will eventually turn to goo. From goo it came and to goo it shall return.
