They just completed UICC 53. It's quite an organization with a lot of history. If anyone is thinking about taking the LA County Advanced Diver Program this summer (2006) I'll be helping the all-volunteer staff to teach it. I see the web page needs updating...

Yeah, I thought about the fact that a possum is not actually a rodent, but I really wanted to say "rodent solidarity". As I always say, never let the facts get in the way of a good story! :wink:

Wow! They are up to UICC 53! That's a lot. My L.A. County instructor, Richard Stride, was in UICC 17. He was a fascinating guy and I hope to see him diving someday. I don't think I've seen him for about 20 years, but he's a guy you'd never forget.
