Actually, because of the depth, it would require an Advanced cert with cold and deep diving equipment and experience. That way they could get Mike's approval.

The course has so much to offer! It involves navigation, cold water, depth, a definite eerie factor, buoyancy and trim are critical. I can think of MANY specialty courses far lamer than the Grimace Diver course would be!!

This is just great, Jim; you just established a new certification card for all the instructor associations. Ya got OW, AOW, Nitrox, Advanced Nitrox, GHD, (maybe even an AGHD), and all of the other certs; including pee valve certification. (that one I'll take credit for). Divers will be flocking to Gilboa to achieve this level. Mike should pay you royalties because this is the only location such a cert can be achieved.

Congratulations Mike! But, I must admit, from what I have witnessed, read, and even found out first hand, you were already helping other divers and teaching them what you knew and thought about diving and all the equipment that goes along with diving.
Good for you on completing this goal! But as we all know... you are not done learning about diving yet!


Heck! In a few years we may even be listening to you at local diving shows like OWU and the Shipwreck Festival!
