Anyone know if I can use composite bottles on the Azimuth Rebreather? Where can they be purchased? Are they o2 compatible? I gotta get the weight down on this thing if I want to dive this unit daily in Cozumel. I can't see dragging 55 lbs to a six pack boat every day!!

The only composite bottle I'm aware of that's good for scuba/underwater use is made by Interspiro [Sweden], & probably doesn't have a DOT rating. Doubt if they'd care about that in Mexico though.:mean:
Don't forget that any weight you trim off the unit will have to be replaced with lead on your belt to keep your butt from floating like a cork.

You sure they even have O2 available there?

Composite and even Stainless Steel tanks are popular outside the U.S. BUT for some mystery reason the DOT will not validate them.
