I will be visiting family and am looking for dive info/buddies. I've dived Eagle's Nest, 40 Fathom and Blue Grotto. Never dove the Gulf side but have dived the Atlantic side. I will be bringing my Inspiration Vision and my SS UV-18/26 scooter.

I live in the Brooksville area and there really arent too many places to dive in this area. In the gulf you have some artificial reefs (concrete culverts) and some army tanks but these are about 20 miles out and the depths are only about 28'. Vis is generally low in the Gulf too, from 5'-30'. You also have Weeki Wachee spring (a one time dive) and you have already done Eagles nest. Hospital hole is in the river with a max depth of 140 but you have to rent a boat to get to it. I would recommend Beauford Spring. It is in the forest near Eagles nest but you have to walk a good distance through the woods with your gear. It is a very clear spring, max depth is 160'. You do have to pay about 3$ to use the state forest but the dive is free.
