Uh, this too...? Damn, uh - thought about getting trained on that?

If you're gonna dive like that, you may need a cowboy hat for your Avatar pic. :D

Or -here's a thought - just cut the line holding the bag?
It depends on what got hooked, where, of course. I do like the carry a speargun idea, though :)

Oh, it was. I also found out that you can not will yourself to stop rising, no matter how hard you try. I also found out that if you let go of your spool, it will unravel and wait for you on the bottom.

Oh, boy, and I thought nothing could make me any more anxious about this weekend than I already was. Anything you can do, I can do klutzier:)
No worries ... you won't be using a 50# bag ... you'll be using a 6# bag. They're way easier on your buoyancy if you screw it up ... which most of us will do when we're learning.

Sometime, ask Uncle Pug about my first attempt at shooting a bag ... after he stopped laughing, he untangled me ... :11:

Kinda like diving surface supplied.
Never give three or FOUR quick jerks on the umbilical to try and get it free from draging on something.
It is almost certain that the tender will feel it and haul you out FAST.
Not that "I" ever did that,,,,,, ..... ,,,,,,, ....... again. :D
