eating "clean" typically means eating quality nutrient rich calories. lean proteins, long lasting carbs, good fats. not junk food full of salt and sugar.
So it's a synonym for what we used to call "healthy" before the tactic of making up new terms to get attention in the viral media caught on. But "not junk food" isn't as catchy.

ya pretty much. i used to workout a lot. weightlifting. the term "eating clean" was a common term used for people trying to get bigger and stronger without gaining too much body fat. not as easy as it sounds.
 
Eating clean means never violating the 5 second rule (if you have a mini doxie it’s a 2 second rule).
