If you have never been scuba diving in Hilo, Hawaii, then we are here to help you locate a dive buddy or jus give you some insight in the diving here. The diving in Hilo is actually great, the coral is in good condition and the sea life is abundant. Due to the cold water run off in the area, the cooler water temperature helps maintain marine and coral life. We have lots of people that are looking for a dive buddy locally and would be happy to find a dive buddy to go along with. We can also offer our services as a SCUBA diving shop. We offer tours, guided dives, and all levels of certification. we are on Instagram and Facebook @Hiloscubadiving and our web address is www.hiloscubadiving.com
Reach out if you are coming to the Big Island of Hawaii and we can set you up with whatever you are looking for. Mahalo! Keep Diving!

Oh my goodness.

Are these prices normal in Hawaii/the US? I am almost having a stroke right now!

100$ for two dives would be pretty reasonable.
145 for a single tank shore dive is extortion.
No wonder so many people use their own compressors here.

Mine cost £9.36 per fill last year. Slightly more than the nearest fill station, but I didn't have the 50 mile round trip to make. The total cost per dive was arount £30 including depreciation; it would have been lower, but I opted to do one dive on many occations rather than 2.

Unfortunately Hawai'i is especially pricey, diving/otherwise. You can find options to keep the price down but it takes a bit of effort.
