Don Wray:
toothpaste works
Yep - I use it with a 3M pad. Gone! Rub lightly tho, if you don't want scratches. Maybe just the toothpaste, but I dont mind shallow scatches. It writes easier I think.

Tiny bit of "Soft Scrub" on a damp paper towel.

In the water you can always pick up a handful of sand and rub it to take the writing away. I always sand my slates to take the shine off, makes them easier to write on.

For above water use I use a plastic eraser.

Try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Works great on my dive slate, and you can cut it up into smaller pieces to keep in your dive kit.

Ditto... It is way to go. It only takes five seconds.... :)

AFTA adhesive remover, and some steel wool. (Or, a toothbrush and some elbow grease:wink: )

I used some toothpaste (vanilla mint) and one of those automatic electrictoothbrush things. Took a few minutes to get it all off, scribbles from lots of dives were all over the back of the thing...

I couldn't find that eraser, and toothpaste was handy. :)
