After much research, I decided to purchase the Citizen Cyber Aqualand Dive Watch/Computer. I am currently in the process of setting everything up with the watch/computer. I really can't wait to get this into the water and see what this badboy can do, and then upload the entire dive log(s) with the software provided to my PC!

My question is (for those who own the watch) if you have any hints or suggestions on the set-up and/or use, or any other general comments on the watch. Thanks all.

I have a Cyber Aqualand and like it a lot. One thing you have to remember, it is not a full fledged dive computer. However, you will find it easy to use to track your dives, depth, time, temp, surface interval........ etc... It is reasonably accurate and agrees well with my computer. The ascent feature is nice. Beeps when you exceed the settings.

The software is rudimentary but works. You can even put some pictures in the log.

Don't throw out your tables yet if you don't use a computer too. Read the instructions well. It will make things a lot easier. Once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze.

how well can you hear the alarm underwater? also, have you experimented with the 15 different alarm settings? have you found any to be more audible than others?

I have a regular Aqualand watch (not the Cyber one) and I would recommend you get a good nylon based band for it that provides two points of failure for the pins. Regular straps only allow one pin to fail and you lose the watch.

Do a search for 'Waterborne' straps made in Australia. There may be equivalents around that provide the same safety factor.

Not only will you hear the alarm, your buddy will too. You can set it to 30 ft/min or 60ft/min. Mine is at 30. Beep...beep.. It really keeps your ascent rate in mind. I have not tried the different alarm settings. I do use it as an alarm clock from time to time.

cool, I set mine @ 30ft also. I'll experiment with the 15 alarms, and post what I think.

OK I went back to the instructions to see if I could make the alarms sound different. Nope. Can't figure out where you got that. Are you sure?

the easy way to do it is through the CAPgm software included. there is a tab on the top for alarm setting, and in there is where you can set and hear the 15 alarm tones.

You know, I didn't get the same software. My watch is a over a year old, maybe it is not exactly the same as far as the features go.... OR ....I got shorted on some software. I have to call them....
