Guys, for those of you with the cyber aqualand - is there any way to download the data from it without the $100 "connection kit" ?

I'm a little unclear from reading the descriptions out there, esp since the watch apparently comes with a software CD...

You can download (and upload) data using an infrared (IR) port - if your computer has one (almost all laptops have them and most towers). You need to hold the watch in close proximity to the port and hold it fairly steady.

The instruction book is not real good about the process. You will find that you need to reconnect the two several times, if you want to do uploads and downloads - and you need to conect the watch and computer if you want to use the CAPgm program to customize the watch (cool daily graphics).

I wear the Cyber Aqualand as my daily watch and use it as my "backup" computer when diving - and to record dive information and tranfer it to my computer dive log. If you get bored during the day you can go to the log function and watch your dive profiles - they show up as a graph.

I've had mine for a year and I'm still learning to use all of it's features.

I also use mine as a daily watch and backup/main computer (I have presbeopia so underwater it can be difficult to read, so I use my Cochran Commander as the main computer) I bought it slightly used and got the download charger. However, it can use infrared as well.

Mine gave me intermittent connection issues, I found by starting
the download in the software before activating the watch works best.

Thanks for the info guys, just what I needed to know. Bought one as a gift for the gf this morning (she needed a computer and loves big ugly watches) and wanted to make sure it would log dives to the PC. The connection kit looks cool but sounds like she won't really need it.

Did a bunch of reading and seems like the only downside to using this watch as a primary computer is the small display size. (well, and the conservative tables) But since we dive together and I have a console computer, seems like a good choice.

Hey guys, is there anyway to download the aqualand graph nx? I bought a Hyper aqualand and read that I can use the Nx graph for the Hyper Aqualand. I can't find where to download that graph version. Can one of you provide it to me?

That's actually the upgrade to graph once you install the actual Aqualand Graph Nx. I can't seem the installation download.

Hello everyone!
I have found out that you cannot download the full software, that you need to use the disc and get upgrades from the website. I tried, in vain, to find a download. I have the disc, if you need one...and it is not illegal to do.

I have vista...has anyone tried to use that USB adapter with Vista? I heard that it is compatible...
Thanks...
Ralph
