I'm a Fish!
Not many people realize the Titanic was carrying thousands of jars of
mayonnaise. The ship was originally scheduled to deliver the mayonnaise to Mexico after
stopping in New York. Unfortunately, the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank.

The Mexicans were devastated by the loss of the mayonnaise. So devastated in fact, that Mexico declared a day of mourning.

It is observed on May 5th. Sinko de Mayo ! :rofl3:

Couldn't help myself, it came via email and I thought of y'all!!!!

Nice :D

Very cute! Haha!

I can't tell if it's a holiday here or not...the banks are open, but most everything else is closed in observance of "Sinko de Mayo."

Just another reason to take a day off IMO...haha!

May 1st was a national holiday here - it was Labor day!

And I think you're a bit off on your dates, the Titanic sank on April 15th ..... ;);)
It's the day of mourning the salad dressing, not the day the Titanic sank.

The 15th of April huh? Think there's a correlation between that and the day the IRS chose to make our taxes due?

I'll be off somewhere pondering.......

Wait....Wait....A day of morning, Betsy always told me morning stopped @ noon----how can it be a day of???.....---Let's go to Tasik Ria,.....OK??

There's the opening for another BAD joke ...

Why was the tomato blushing???? Because she saw the Salad dressing!:11:

Happy Cinco de Mayo - glad the Mexican militia beat the French, but then doesn't everyone...?

:14: My birthday is Cinco de Mayo, but whenever we've been in Mexico and I mention that date, they have no idea what holiday I'm talking about. Makes me think the holiday is more of a US marketing tool, but then again, doesn't matter to me! I always celebrate Cinco de Mayo! :D
