Chicago area divers... any local trips planned?

As soon as I get my drysuit back..hopefully within 2 weeks, I am going somewhere...be it Ohio, Indiana, Southern IL... I can't schedule anything now because I don't know when I'll get it back.

We be unda de ice. With an air temp of -6F on Saturday, it was a darn cold dive!!!

Im planning a Charter bus trip to Mermett in Late March or early April if anyone wants to go. We had about 30 divers last time and had a great time. They all wanted to charter a bus this time so they can arty: on the way down, then on Sunday be able to dive all day and not worry about driving home....If your interested PM me for details

We also have a trip to Bonne Terre the weekend of March 8th if your interested....That and hopefully Ice Diving at Haigh and a couple other Secret Spots we have

Kieth Cormincan of Wazee Sports is having an Ice Social on Feb 2nd!

The Event will start at 11 am. The fee is $15.00.Non diver $5.00 + the park dive fee.
We will cut the holes in the ice and provide the ropes, harnesses, warm changing trailer, and a hot meal with hot chocolate and hot apple cider. You need to register by January 30th. You must be ice diver certified or taking the course to dive.

It was -5 ( with the wind chill) here in Ohio Saturday. Still no ice, but we had fun diving anyways.

Once Haigh opens up, barring no ice...thats where I'll be... I'm looking for an ice free trip in the month of Feb though. Mermet is an option, so is Gilboa.

I need to get some dives in before I take a class up here...brrrrrrrr.
