Lender is running some winter charters- single tank trip, drysuit and redundant air supply are required.

LenDer's used to offer a 2 tank in a day or 4 tank in two days package also during the winter months. There were a couple of divers two years ago diving wet also, so I am not sure if he enforces the drysuit requirement.

Aren't there two shallow water quarries in Indiana...France Park and another one....what is the name of that one?

I want to go out as soon as I get my drysuit back...sometime in early Feb..and i need to do something easy and stress free so i can get use to my config changes. :)

Blue Springs is another one. South of Indy off 74.

France Park just west of Logansport. It's open during the winter on Sunday's only by pre-arrangement. You'll need to call the shop affiliated with the quarry. Diving Den, (765) 452-1034.

Blue Springs is the other. They are SE of Indy off of I74, exit 119. It is just south of Waldron, IN. They are pretty much open 24x7. Sign in on the log under the shelter, pay your $20 by placing it in the envelope and slipping it in the slot on the door and then go dive. It's expensive, but compared to other IN lakes and quarries the viz is usually pretty good, it has decent depth, acceptable topside ammenities and it's always open.

There are at least four more that I'm aware of: Sunset Park in Linton, Phillips Quarry in Muncie, Hidden Paradise in St. Paul and White Rock also in St. Paul. The visibility at Sunset Park and Phillips is horrible and the topside ammenities are pretty lousy. Hidden Paradise is just OK, but it's only about 20-25' deep. I've never dove White Rock but I hear it's more of a biker hangout than a scuba facility.

As soon as I get my drysuit back..hopefully within 2 weeks, I am going somewhere...be it Ohio, Indiana, Southern IL... I can't schedule anything now because I don't know when I'll get it back. :(
